Medisim Ltd. was founded in 1995 by a group of professionals in the fields of physics, engineering and medicine. Combining their know-how into extensive multidiscipline research, the company invented a novel method for determining accurate core-body temperature in a swift and non-invasive way. This entirely new concept named R.A.T.E. ® (Rapid, Accurate Temperature Establishment), surprised the medical world and positioned Medisim as one of the leading sources for precise temperature determination tools and created a new category – high-speed conductive thermometers for forehead measurement.
The innovative R.A.T.E™ technology paved the way for the development of many original temperature diagnostic devices for both home healthcare and professional use. Medisim focused its propriety know-how and experience in the development of innovative technologies, such as the C.I.T.E. ™ (Conductive Infrared Temperature Establishment) and n-S.T.A.R. ™ (Non Invasive Spatial Temperature Algorithm Regression).
Medisim is continuously expanding its range of solutions in the sphere of body-heat transfer technologies and applications, as well as using its proficiency to further medical applications outside the realm of body temperature determination. Accordingly, Medisim has developed pioneering technologies for medical teams, such as non-invasive thermometers; wireless, disposable temperature measurement systems for surgeries and neonates; and a unique technology for early detection of breast cancer.
Medisim’s headquarter is located in Neve Ilan, near Jerusalem, Israel. The company operates a manufacturing facility in northern Israel (IS0-9001 and ISO-13485 certified and meets GMP requirements) and a sub-contracting plant in China.
